Our Mission Threatened with the loss of the Honu'apo area to development, a diverse and dedicated group including Hawai'i state and county representatives, private landowners, Hawaiian cultural practitioners, kupuna and Ka'u community members have come together to restore, care for and protect the natural and cultural resources within the Honu'apo area. Utilizing the values of malama 'aina (care of the land), kupono (honesty, integrity) and kuleana (responsibility), we will work in community partnerships to preserve this area for future generations.
